Thank you to the Coastal Spectator for this nice article on This Dark, as well as Joanna Streetly, Marion Syme, and Postelsia Press. The interview gives you some history of the press as well as Joanna’s work.
We’re pleased to announce that Postelsia Press is releasing a new title: This Dark, a book of haiku by Tofino author, Joanna Streetly. This Dark includes original linocuts by Tofino artist (and co-owner of Postelsia Press), Marion Syme. The official launch is August 14, 8 pm at Tofino Sea Kayaking. This great little colouring book will keep young people busy for hours. The 16 line drawings by Tofino artist Marion Syme leave lots of room for creative colouring.
We’ll be at the Christmas Craft Fair, December 8, in Tofino at the Community Hall. Drop by to say hi! We’ll have some great deals and special items just for the holidays.
Friday night is the kick-off to the Pacific Rim Whale Festival. Saturday is the first full day of events and we’ll be participating in the Taste of Tofino Community Market. And we’re so pleased to say that we’ll have Historic Tofino available for sale. The boxes have just arrived from the printer!
Historic Tofino: A Walk in Time is finally done. It’s off to the printers and we anticipate the boxes arriving in a few weeks. This labour of love has been a long time coming, but we’re very pleased with the results (and the updated cover). We’re sure you will be too.
We’re having a launch and guided walk on Sunday, March 25 as part of the Pacific Rim Whale Festival. Meet at the office of the Clayoquot Biosphere Trust, 316 Main Street.
